Steely Determination and a Non-Traditional Path

I’m not your typical Managing Director. I left school with no formal qualifications, but what I did have was a steely determination to succeed, achieve financial security, and use my influence to create positive change. My journey hasn’t been conventional, but it’s been defined by perseverance, ambition, and an unrelenting commitment to personal growth.

Early Career: Customer Service Foundations

My career began with some false starts in retail and residential property sales. While these roles weren’t my calling, they gave me a strong foundation in customer service—a skill that’s been invaluable throughout my career.

The Turning Point: A Vision for the Digital Future

In 1995, everything changed. The launch of Microsoft Windows 95 and the rise of the internet opened my eyes to the potential of technology. I had a vision of selling property online—a bold idea at the time. With money I couldn’t afford to spend, I bought a PC, taught myself HTML, and created what I believe was the first London property portal.

Though the portal didn’t succeed due to lack of resources and a terrible name, my concept and vision caught the attention of a property software company. They developed the idea further, and I joined them as their Head of Sales. For eight incredible years, I sold their industry-leading CRM platform, discovering a passion for SaaS and technology that has driven much of my career.

SaaS Leadership

Spent 18 years growing and managing national sales teams for SaaS scale-up businesses, driving results through strategic leadership.

Property Industry Reboot

Rebranded and expanded a tired property management business in Chiswick, adding residential sales before selling to a large London brand.

Recruitment Success

Bought a struggling lifestyle recruitment agency turning over £23,000 annually and quickly scaled it to several thousand pounds annually.

Olympic Dream Realised

While working full-time, I trained and qualified (Level 5) as a Soft Tissue Therapist. I served as one of only four Sports Massage Leads at the London Olympics, having worked with elite athletes at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) and LOCOG.

IT Transformation

Turned around an IT/Data Centre business plagued by poor culture and financial management, making it fit for exit within a year.

Marketing Agency Growth

Partnered with the founder of a small local marketing agency to grow it into a multi-million-pound, multi-location agency with an international client base and award-winning reputation.

Passions Beyond Business

I believe life is about more than work. I’m passionate about live music (18 trips to Glastonbury and counting), running, racquet sports like squash and padel, and spending time with my family and close friends.

Having trained as a Soft Tissue Therapist (another story!!), This was me at the London Olympics 2012 where I was determined to be part of and I was one of only four Sports Massage Team leaders supporting all the athletes in the medical centre in the Olympic Village.

Thinking differently

Superpowers: ADHD, Dyslexia, and Big-Picture Thinking

Recently, I discovered I am neuro diverse. While these don’t define me, they’ve given me a unique perspective. My ADHD fuels my ability to see the big picture and look for solutions.
